Hey, Wyoming blues players and fans!  I'm Rick Davis, President of the Wyoming Blues & Jazz Society.  Our goal is to promote and sustain blues music in our state.

Send me details about any upcoming blues gigs in Wyoming (or Wyoming blues bands playing elsewhere) and I'll add them to the gig calendar on the right.

Be a part of it!  The best way to get started is to join the Blues Society.

Video - Taylor Scott Band w/ Nick Clark

This video is from the WBJS Thanksgiving Concert on Nov 25, 2017 at The Sky Terrace Lounge in Casper WY, featuring The Taylor Scott Band w/ Nic Clark. The blue stage lights played hell with my video camera, so it looks kinda like the Blue Man Group or a 60's psychedelic experience. No matter, the talent from this band was excellent, and as you can see and hear it was a great show.

Taylor Scott Band w/Nic Clark at Sky Terrance in Casper

The Wyoming Blues and Jazz Society are proud to welcome back the Taylor Scott Band to the Sky Terrace Lounge Saturday November 25th. Scott has come a long way since winning the Wyoming Blues Challenge in 2011 with his band, Another Kind of Magick and performing at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2012. Magick band mate and harmonica player extraordinaire, Nic Clark, will be joining the band for this special performance.

Taylor Scott is an international touring guitarist/singer/songwriter based in Denver, Colorado. He has toured all over the US, Canada, and Europe with both the Taylor Scott Band and blues legend Otis Taylor.

"Heavily influenced by soul, funk, blues, jazz, and rock & roll, Taylor Scott's music is gaining a reputation for transcending the limitations of a single genre. His diversely influenced "soul/jam" group, The Taylor Scott Band, is a high-powered extension of this mélange of sounds."
Opening for Taylor Scott will be guitar and harmonica duo AJ Fullerton and Jake Friel.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 and will be available at the door the day of the show for $20 ($15 for Blues and jazz Society members) reserved tables are also available by calling 307-253-9552. Parking is free south of the terminal building.

Doors open at 7:00, show starts at 8:00, All Ages.

Gary Small & The Coyote Bros

Gary Small & The Coyote Bros will be in Casper for a WBJS show at the Sky Terrace Lounge on Oct 21 at 8 pm.  This is one of the best bands in Wyoming, known for their blues and boogie. It's good-time party music.  Gary is well known for his great Carlos Santana covers.  He nails the soaring guitar solos.

Door charge is $5 for WBJS members and $10 for non-members.  Support Live Blues Music!

The Sky Terrace Lounge is a fun and friendly venue with a good stage and comfy seating.  For all blues society events they have a draft beer special:  a frosty pint of Miller Lite for only $3.

Eclipse Jam

The night before the big eclipse!

Wyoming Blues Society Jam - Sunday August 20 at 4pm
The Sky Terrace Lounge at Casper Airport

This month’s special eclipse jam will be hosted by Jimmy Keith and the Hateful 8 from Sheridan, Wyoming. This is the third time they have played at the Sky Terrace. If you have not seen them, they rock the house! Escape the crowds and the heat and relax in climate controlled luxury with your favorite beverage.

Or bring an instrument and a song to share with fellow musicians and music lovers. This is an all ages event and all skill levels are welcome. Though we prefer to have musicians perform blues and jazz style music, we enjoy all genres and welcome creative and talented folks from any background.
